Every baby is different, sounds like yours just doesn't want to miss a thing. I had problems getting my son to sleep for long stretches at that age, it's a developmental thing and they grow out of it. Just establish a firm bedtime routine, something that signals this means I am going in my crib/bassinet and it's time to sleep like feeding in a special place, singing songs that only get sung at bedtime, etc... Also make daytime naps in bright noisy areas, don't expect her to nap for more than 20-30 minutes at a time but to nap frequently (my guy at 2 months was never awake for more than an hour and a half, two hours tops and then he would catnap for 20 minutes and be good to go again). Don't wake baby, if she naps longer consider it a gift! She's just starting to sort out her sleep patterns.
By bad tempered I assume you mean crying for no reason that is obvious to you (she's fed, burped, changed diaper, comfy clothes that don't smell like spit up, right temperature, not over stimulated or bored, cuddled, etc...) She's probably going through the colic phase, especially if this bad temperedness happens at the same time every day. Try some gripe water or gas drops to see if they help. Colic is normally caused by trapped gas.
Some things that would make my guy be fussy or cry at 2 months was if he could smell sour milk on his clothes, he was too warm, wanted to be held, was too tired, etc... Babies always have a reason for being fussy/upset/bad tempered, sometimes though we just can't figure it out. As long as you have done everything in your power to make sure she is ok, she may just need to cry until you can figure out the cause. Observation is the key here, what is happening around her when she has these moods, what is consistent that triggers the spells? It may take a bit of time but you'll figure it out.
As for caffeine consumption during pregnancy having an effect on a child's behaviour, if that was true then I would have had to name my boy spiderman because he would be stuck to the ceiling! I had a real sweet tooth when pregnant and I tried not to succumb to it very often, however the coffee shop next door made these chocolate frozen coffee drinks that were just to die for. I also never lost my taste for coffee when pregnant so I probably over did the caffeine consumption according to the books and my 4 1/2 month old is the sweetest, mellowest boy you could ever meet. If he cries now, there is always an obvious reason.
