There is a small port in the back of the housing that the water comes out of. Have you had this problem and did you fix it?

The reason that it is leaking, is because you have not yet thrown it in the trash and sprung for a new one.

I don't have that model of Mr. Coffee, but if I fill it with too much water it will come out of the little port in the back.

You are putting more water in it than is designed to hold. My son in law bought us one of those when he broke our last one and it is a ten cup model not a 12 cup model. There should be a fill line on the front to let you know when to quit adding water.
