Default Coffeemaker issues! How do I get the grinds out of the filter area?

The filter in my coffeepot folded over and the grinds leaked out. I've already run two pots of water and vinager through it, but I still can't get them all out. The filter basket area is not detachable. Any ideas? Thanks!

Unplug the coffeemaker and invert it over your sink. With care, use your sprayer to spray water into the basket area and water reservoir. This should help get alot of the grinds out. Run another pot with only water to flush any remaining grinds.

An old toothbrush is an awesome scrubber for those ridged areas. Wash as you normally would using the toothbrush, and rinse thoroughly with cold water to remove any suds. All should be fine. I periodically wash mine just because the oils in coffee beans leave a film after a number of uses. Enjoy your coffee!
