Default Can anyone help me! I have a 25 year old corning stove top coffee maker purk not

sure how 2 use? Its a 6 cup with a twist top dont know how to set that., and a twist on the spring loaded filter stem.
Do you twist it down? Do you leave it floating? When it starts to purk shut it off? How long should it purk? I love this old thing,Please, someone help me use it properly I want to use it right!

Don't know if this will work with yours,but no you don't twist it down the top will twist around and holds it.When it perks it takes about 5 minutes,done.Don't fill all to the top it will boil over.leave about a cup of spaceEnjoy.
