Default wow on Today show - caffine and miscarriages connection - HUGE!?

OH my - I have been drinking 1-2 cups of coffee a day, very little in comparison to many I know. They just had a study on Today show - Micarriage chances with
no caffine - 12%
moderate caffine (less than 200mg) - 15%
high amount (more than 200mg) - 25%!!!!

Anyone else here this? I guess it's a brand new study they just did. Very scary. I think I will cut out my caffine all together now!!! Anyone else?

that's amazing! I decided to cut out caffeine as soon as we started ttc so that I wouldn't have to go through withdrawals along with any morning sickness that came my way if I did get pregnant...glad I did now

Maybe get another doctor. The top of my dr.s' "Things to Avoid When Pregnant" list....1. alcohol, 2. smoking, 3. caffeine. Caffeine is a DRUG, a psychoactive central nervous system (CNS) stimulant and diuretic. And everything a mother consumes goes to the baby. So why would any loving mother want to risk damage to her baby's central nervous system (a.k.a. brain) for 30 seconds of pleasure on her tongue?

Caffeine can be found in coffee, most sodas (read labels), most teas (read labels), and chocolate.

Yes, I avoided all forms of caffeine both during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Best wishes.

anything that is not a normal diet is linked to a miscarriege, just cut down.

Yes I saw this but other studies have not proven this one out. There are several other studies that seemed to indicate no connection between coffee( caffeine) and miscarriage. So now I don't know who to believe. My doctor said to limit the amount of caffeine to a "reasonable amount" so when I was pregnant I would only drink one or two cups of coffee daily.
