Can you explain how caffeine pills have made me feel better (w/the flu)?

I don't know how it works at all. I woke up friday morning really sick w/flu symptoms, which my fiance had for the past week. Since then I ache all over, constant coughing and fatigued.. but if I make myself take caffeine pills... it's allll better (not entirely though).

I was taking just tylenol, tamiflu and cough medicine.
