Default Caffeine during pregnancy ?

Now experts are saying that as little as 200 milligrams of caffeine , equivalent to 2 cups , can cause early termination of the pregnancy.
Are we to take this seriously ? , given that as little as 15 years ago they told you to eat the likes of liver , spinach etc. , as extra sources of iron.Only to be told later that you MUST now stay away from these sources of iron for fear of it causing problems while pregnant.
I can under understand the need for research but doesn't it sometimes seem that these studies are getting more and more pathetic ?

Your thoughts please. many thanks
