Default Caffeine and conceiving?

I have one small cup of coffee every morning, and I NEVER exceed this because I get the jitters if I have more. I also don't eat chocolate daily.

Is this a real problem while trying to conceive and/or while pregnant?

I've only been TTC for 2 months now, but I'm concerned now that my daily cupa joe might be inhibiting conception!

1 cup of coffee a day is fine. 3 cups and you might have a problem. Green Tea is supposed to be good for TTC also.

No I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think one cup hurts anything. My doctor even told me I could drink my one cup during pregnancy

Unlikely. You can have some caffeine while pregnant. More likely stress is a problem than anything else.

Take it easy and it will happen. No worries.

nope, not to worry. I talked to my fertility doc and he asked about caffeine and he just asked how much i have. I have about 16 oz of coffee 4-5 days a week and then maybe 2 diet soda's during the day. My hubby about the same. He said "oh, that's no problem" the caffeine thing they mention as part of a fertility issue are those people that drink coffee all day. ALSO, i read and asked him about the stress stuff everyone talks about "oh, just stop trying to conceive and you will" or "just stop stressing about conceiving" blah, blah, blah. He was telling me that the only stress that will affect your fertility is HUGE stresses, like moving, a death in the family or lose of a job - regular stresses are normal and everyone has them so not to worry about that either. All you can do is get the timing right and then hope your body will do the rest, nothing else you can do. You should be taking a regular multi vitamin tho for the folic acid
